Terms of service
Last updated 13 October 2026. These are the terms you agree to when you hire us. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
The agreement
These terms are between you and Stavros Group LLC, doing business as Stavros Media. They apply from the moment you accept a proposal from us, make a payment to us, or start using something we built for you, whichever happens first.
If we have signed a separate written agreement with you and it contradicts this page, the signed agreement wins on that point, and everything here that it does not contradict still stands.
You need to be able to enter a contract on behalf of your business to accept these terms. The service is for your business, not for personal use.
What we provide
The monthly service is a website we build, host and maintain for you, at three hundred and ninety-seven dollars a month, plus the one-time setup fee below. It includes hosting, the domain connection, security and software updates, and two rounds of content edits each month. Edits carry over to the next month if you do not use them, but they do not pile up beyond that.
Changes and questions go to michael@stavrosmedia.com, and we answer within one business day. If your site is down, call (312) 964-8141 and we will be on it the same day.
Missed-call text-back sends an automatic text to anyone who calls your business and does not get an answer. Review requests send a message asking a customer for a review after a job is finished. Both are part of the monthly service. How they are wired into your systems is what your proposal says.
We also build sites that you buy outright, and we manage Google and Meta advertising. Those are priced and agreed separately, in writing, before any work starts.
We may improve or change how a service works. If a change removes something you were relying on, we will tell you before it happens.
Paying for it
Month to month, the service starts with a one-time setup fee of nine hundred and ninety-seven dollars, paid with your first month. It pays for the build: your site, your text-back and your review requests, set up for your business. You can pay it in two halves if you prefer: half when you sign, half when your site goes live. If you are unhappy and want the setup fee back, tell us: we will try to put right whatever went wrong first, and if you still want it back, you get it.
Or pay three months up front, one thousand one hundred and ninety-one dollars, and there is no setup fee, and you get the promise in 'Live in 14 days, or a month free' below. When the three months are up, we charge three hundred and ninety-seven dollars a month until you tell us to stop.
Started month to month and changed your mind? For thirty days after you sign, you can switch to paying three months up front, and what you have already paid, setup fee included, counts toward it.
After your first payment, the monthly fee is billed monthly in advance, on the same day each month. Work that is not part of the monthly service is billed as the proposal for it says.
If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If an account stays unpaid for thirty days we may take the site offline until it is settled. We will warn you in writing before we do that, and we will not delete anything during that period.
Fees do not include the money you spend on advertising itself, which you pay to Google or Meta. They also do not include your domain registration, which stays in your name.
Prices can change. Your monthly price will not change in your first twelve months, and after that we will give you at least sixty days' notice before any increase, so you can decide what to do about it.
Stopping
The monthly service runs month to month. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. To cancel, email michael@stavrosmedia.com. Email counts as writing, and we confirm within one business day. We need thirty days' notice. A monthly charge that falls inside those thirty days still goes through, and your site stays up until the end of the month it pays for. Nothing is charged after that, and we do not refund the month you are in.
If you paid three months up front and stop before they are used, we refund the unused months, less the nine hundred and ninety-seven dollar setup fee you did not pay, which puts you where a month-to-month client would have been. Spend fifteen minutes on an exit call first, telling us what went wrong, and we waive that: you get every unused month back. Either way, you never owe us anything for leaving.
We can end the agreement the same way, with thirty days' notice. We can end it immediately if the service is being used for something illegal, or if an account goes badly overdue after we have warned you.
When it ends, the site comes down, because hosting was part of what you were paying for. Your domain is yours and stays yours. Your content is yours: ask us within thirty days of the end and we will hand over your text and images in a usable form, at no charge.
Who owns what
You own your content. Your business name, your logo, your photographs, your text, your customer records and your domain were yours before us and stay yours.
We own the system the site is built on: the templates, the components, the code and the tooling shared across every site we run. A monthly subscription is a licence to use it while you are paying, not a sale of it. This is what makes the monthly price what it is.
A site you buy outright is different. On final payment, the design and the code we wrote specifically for you become yours, and we will hand them over. Parts of it that are open-source, or that are our shared tooling, come to you under their own licences, which let you keep using them.
You give us permission to use your business name and a picture of your site in our own portfolio. Tell us you would rather we did not, and we will not.
Your side of it
We need things from you to do the work: access to your domain, your Google Business Profile, and whatever system your calls and customers already run through. Where we need an account on your behalf, you are responsible for what is done in it.
The content you give us has to be yours to give. Do not send us photographs you do not have the rights to, or text copied from another company. If a claim is brought against us over content you supplied, that is on you to cover.
You are responsible for what your business says being true. We will write copy for you and check it back with you, but we cannot verify your licence numbers, your insurance or your claims about your own work, and we will not publish a statistic or a review that did not happen.
Projects need you. If we are waiting on you for content or approvals for more than thirty days, we may pause the project, and the monthly fee still runs while the site is live. If you paid up front, the fourteen-day clock below only starts once onboarding is done, so time spent waiting on you does not count against it.
Texts from us
If you tick the box to hear from us by text, on our contact form or when you book a call, Stavros Media will text you about what you asked for and the call you booked: a reply to your request, a booking confirmation, a reminder, and the short video to watch before we talk. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not text anyone who did not tick the box, unless they texted us first.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop, and HELP for help. Ticking the box is never required to contact us or to book a call.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is in our privacy policy: we never sell or share it, or your consent, for anyone else's marketing.
Text messaging
If we run text messaging for you, you are the sender in the eyes of the law and the carriers, and you are responsible for having the right to text the people on your list.
That means real consent. You may only send messages to people who gave you their number for this purpose, and you must honour STOP the moment it arrives. Our system does that automatically, and you must not work around it.
United States carriers require every business sending texts to be registered, which we will do with you. Carriers can block or refuse messages for their own reasons, and neither we nor you control that. Message and data rates may apply to the people you text.
If you use the messaging for something it was not sold for, such as bulk marketing to a purchased list, we will switch it off. That is not us being difficult: one complaint can get a number blocked permanently.
Live in 14 days, or a month free
This comes with paying three months up front. Month to month, you can still leave any time with thirty days' notice.
Onboarding is done when we have everything on the onboarding list we send you when you sign: your services, the towns you want work in, your photos, and access to your domain. From that day, your site is live within fourteen days. If it goes live later than that, we add an extra month at no charge.
Until your site, your missed-call text-back and your review requests are all running, we keep working on them at no extra charge. Text-back depends on carrier registration, which neither of us controls, so it is not part of the fourteen days.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a ranking, a number of calls, a number of jobs, or an amount of revenue, and you should not believe anyone in this industry who does. Search engines, advertising platforms and your own market decide those, and none of them are ours to control.
We do not promise the site will never be down. We work to keep it up, and it is built to be fast and to stay up, but hosting, domains and networks are not perfect.
Everything we provide is provided as it is. We disclaim the implied warranties the law lets us disclaim, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits. Our total liability for anything arising out of these terms is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. None of this limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
The rest
If we change these terms we will change the date at the top. If a change materially affects an active client, we will tell that client directly, and it takes effect for them thirty days later.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and the courts there are where a dispute would be heard. Before anyone goes to court, both of us agree to spend thirty days trying to sort it out directly, which is almost always faster and cheaper.
If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest of it stands. Neither of us waives a right by not enforcing it immediately. You may not transfer this agreement without our written agreement; we may transfer it if the business is sold.
How we handle information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
